We are a successful and rapidly growing leisure group seeking a Finance Assistant to join our finance team at our South West London office on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career!
Working closely within a small team and reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Assistant will support various reporting, controlling, and accounting tasks, along with ad hoc responsibilities. The role offers scope for increased responsibilities as you progress. Key responsibilities include:
1. Maintain sales and purchase ledger
2. Perform balance sheet reconciliations
3. Process payments
4. Handle VAT returns
5. Review payroll journals
6. Process expenses
7. Assist with the administration of Xero
8. Help prepare budgets
9. Perform general financial admin tasks as required
Candidate Requirements
* 1-4 years of relevant finance experience
* Graduate with a finance or accounting degree preferred
* Experience with reconciliations essential
* Interest in studying ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualification
* Excellent Excel skills; knowledge of Xero highly advantageous
* Ability to start quickly and adapt
* Outgoing, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
* Organized with ability to meet deadlines
* Strong communication and IT skills
* Versatile, flexible, with attention to detail
