Fantastic Opportunity at Diligent Offspring Nursery in Wembley Park.
We are currently in the process of recruiting a Nursery Manager for our newly established nursery located in Wembley Park. In this pivotal role, you will assume leadership of the nursery staff team, orchestrating a dynamic and diverse array of play activities, and delivering high-quality education and care to children aged 6 months to 5 years.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification and demonstrate recent experience in a management capacity within an Early Years setting.
Key responsibilities for this role encompass, but are not limited to:
· Taking the lead in the recruitment and induction of new staff.
· Providing support, supervision, training, and appraisals for the staff.
· Assuming full responsibility for staffing, induction, training, and development needs.
· Establishing systems for accurate reporting and monitoring.
· Adhering to occupancy and financial budgets and targets.
· Ensuring compliance with staff ratios and appropriate staff deployment.
· Taking full responsibility for safeguarding and child protection within the nursery.
· Facilitating timely liaison with external professionals.
· Ensuring adherence to the safer recruitment process.
· Completing weekly rotas and registers for staff and children attendance.
Person Specification:
· Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood studies, Childcare and Education, NNEB, or equivalent (higher-level qualification desirable).
· Proven minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role within an early years setting, preferably as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager in an EYFS setting.
· Clear understanding and proven experience of the Montessori approach.
· In-depth knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and its practical application.
· Sound knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety practices and procedures in early years settings.
· Strong leadership and management skills.
· Ability to motivate and inspire a team.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong social and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
· Friendly, approachable, and welcoming demeanor.
· Business acumen and effective management of budgets and resources.
