The Role in a Nutshell
At the centre of our consortium operations, you’ll be responsible for the seamless coordination and management of key processes that underpin successful energy procurement. From maintaining accurate site lists and supporting shaping activities to carrying out detailed rate checks, you’ll ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

You’ll play a critical role in keeping our systems up to date, managing Flex, consortium and fixed supply contract data with precision, helping to drive informed decisions and maximise value for our clients.

Responsibilities

Co‑ordination of consortium customer site lists and trade shapes for allocated consortiums, including updating key data to SE First systems.

Ensuring customer supplies and volumes are included and correct within the various consortium shapes ahead of each shaping window.

Assisting the Procurement specialist with site additions to Flex, consortium and fixed contract.

Co‑ordination of site lists for allocated Flexible supply contract tenders.

Checking consortium rates and accurately adding key data to SE First systems.

Adding key data to SE First systems for Flexible supply contract customers.

Building and maintaining supplier relationships and developing a key understanding of products and industry developments.

Coordinating activity between clients and suppliers to facilitate registration and transfer of supply contracts.

Coordinating workload and proactively dealing with any queries.

Other ad‑hoc duties as and when required by the team.

Key ingredients for the role

A strong understanding of the energy industry and market dynamics.

Exceptional attention to detail, combined with clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets.

Ability to manage multiple pricing requests and competing deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.

Solid awareness of regulatory frameworks and market mechanisms within sustainable energy procurement.

Good knowledge of energy markets, pricing structures, and procurement processes.

Strong analytical capability, supported by advanced Excel skills, with a clear understanding of Sustainable Energy First’s quality objectives—particularly those relating to procurement and operational processes.

Salary and Benefits
Salary: £28,250 to £31,000 dependent on experience.

Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + birthday off, increasing to 30 days on length of service.

Hybrid working (at least 2 days per week working from our Fulwood, Preston office).

Flexible working – including the ability to bank up to 5 extra days off per year.
