This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who need help the most - those with complex needs, autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and other learning difficulties. Your role will be vital in promoting a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where all learners can thrive.
What You'll Be Doing:
Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who require emotional and behavioural support.
Assisting the class teacher and SENCO in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs).
Supporting students with personal development, emotional regulation, and social skills.
Using de-escalation strategies and therapeutic approaches to manage challenging behaviours.
Helping pupils develop resilience, confidence, and positive coping strategies.What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children or young adults with additional needs or mental health difficulties.
A calm, patient, and empathetic nature.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Relevant training (Team Teach, MAPA, Trauma-Informed Practice, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
