Overview
We're looking for a Data Analyst to support the transformation of complex datasets from multiple Local Authorities into a standardised schema. You'll work across both digital and manual data sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality throughout the process.
Responsibilities
* Analyse and clean large datasets from varied sources
* Identify and fix data issues, including geometry and formatting errors
* Quality control data from manual and third-party sources
* Compare pre- and post-transformation outcomes to ensure accuracy
* Document transformation rules and maintain audit trails
* Collaborate with engineers to define technical requirements
* Contribute to process and tool improvements
You're a confident communicator with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for working with complex datasets. You bring a mix of technical expertise and stakeholder engagement skills, and you thrive in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills across all stakeholder levels
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Experience working with spatial data and GIS tools (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS)
* Proven ability to manage and analyse large, multi-source datasets
* Understanding of optimal methods for data capture and transformation
