Job Description
Position: Ocean Import CoordinatorLocation: ChelmsfordHours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 Plus Hybrid!!Salary: Circa £32,000
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Import of Less than Container Loads (LCL) and Full Container Loads (FCL) shipments via sea freight. You must have a background in sea freight forwarding operations with a UK forwarder.
Your key responsibilities as Ocean Import Coordinator:
* Complete start-to-finish import consignments via sea freight
* Responsible for the day to day running of allocated LCL & FCL movements
* Global imports
* Create bookings from the origin
* Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
* Track and update shipment statues in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
* Complete import customs entries via CDS
* Ensure compliance with import regulations
* Developing good working relationships with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and our other branches
* Previous experience in quoting and operations of export ocean freight forwarding is essential
