We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Trailer Planner to support our European road freight operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods across borders.
Location: Basildon, UK
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30
What Will You Be Doing?
1. Planning and coordinating trailer movements across Europe for on-time deliveries.
2. Optimizing trailer loads for space and cost efficiency.
3. Building relationships with hauliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
4. Managing and resolving transport issues, including delays and route changes.
5. Monitoring trailer movements and updating customers regularly.
6. Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and documentation.
7. Collaborating with customs and border teams for smooth cross-border transit.
About You
1. Experience in transport planning, road freight, or logistics environment.
2. Knowledge of European geography and transport regulations.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
4. Excellent communication skills for liaising with drivers, suppliers, and customers.
5. Highly organized with attention to detail.
6. Team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
7. Familiarity with transport management systems (TMS) is a plus.
