Job Description
We are looking for an Associate Dentist to join Prestwick Netherfield Dental Practice on a 12-month maternity cover contract starting October 2026, with the potential for a permanent opportunity afterwards.

The role is 30 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, in well-equipped surgeries with an experienced and supportive clinical and nursing team.

Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Associate Dentist to join our supportive practice team in Prestwick, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced clinicians and skilled practice teams to provide exceptional care to both NHS and private patients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver comprehensive clinical dental care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of restorative, preventive, and therapeutic procedures
2. Maintain accurate and compliant patient records
3. Communicate treatment options clearly and empathetically to patients
4. Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and support team
5. Provide consistent, high-quality care to a loyal patient base
6. Adhere to infection control, safeguarding, and clinical governance standards
7. Manage clinical diaries efficiently
8. Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture
9. Engage in ongoing CPD and professional development
10. Use modern dental systems and technology to support patient care
Qualifications
Essential
11. BDS or equivalent dental qualification
12. GDC registration with licence to practise in the UK
13. Enhanced DBS clearance
14. Professional indemnity insurance
15. Experience in general dentistry (NHS and/or private)
16. Strong clinical and communication skills
17. Organised and patient-focused approach
18. Commitment to high standards of care and CPD
19. Right to work in the UK
Desirable
20. Experience in advanced restorative or aesthetic dentistry
21. Postgraduate training or additional qualifications
22. Experience with digital dentistry systems
23. Experience working in a team-based practice environment
24. Interest in clinical development or mentoring
