Job Overview
We are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team of nurses.
We welcome applications from both recently qualified nurses, for whom we will support through preceptorship in the first year, and experienced Staff Nurses seeking new skills and career progression.
Interviews will be conducted face-to-face.

Main duties of the job
You will have access to training from a dedicated in-house team focused on staff development. The role offers opportunities to undertake appraisals, coordinate shifts, and potentially lead on areas of interest related to acute admission and care.
We seek nurses with or potential to lead a team towards high-quality care. You will work on one of our wards on a rotational shift pattern including early, late, and night shifts. The vacancies accommodate a range of competencies as per the AFC Knowledge and Skills Framework.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The post holder will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care programs within TOPAS as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include developing and leading individual and group therapeutic interventions, supervising and teaching staff and students. For more details, see the attached job description.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Essential: UK NMC Registered Nurse, RMN
* Desirable: Teaching and Assessing qualification, UK NMC Registered Nurse RGN
Experience
* Desirable: Experience working with older adults, a desire to work with older people and those with dementia
Knowledge
* Understanding and promotion of equality, diversity, and human rights in recruitment
* Knowledge of confidentiality in the workplace
Skills
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* IT literacy
* Ability to demonstrate initiative
