Associate Director of Finance – Financial Delivery
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Finance Officers of the partnership, this high‑profile role will lead the delivery of ambitious short‑to‑long‑term financial objectives across both Trusts. The Associate Director will play a pivotal part in shaping financial recovery, driving productivity, embedding accountability and supporting transformational change at scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and delivery of financial recovery and improvement programmes across both Trusts.
* Drive cost improvement, productivity and efficiency schemes with a focus on recurrent benefits.
* Create robust accountability frameworks for clinical, operational and corporate teams.
* Support strategic transformation programmes that improve sustainability and service delivery.
* Provide expert financial advice to executive teams and senior leaders.
* Develop high‑quality governance, reporting and performance monitoring arrangements.
* Build a culture of continuous improvement, value and financial ownership across the organisations.
* Lead and develop specialist teams to support delivery of ambitious objectives.
Qualifications
* A professional finance qualification with significant senior leadership experience in a large, complex organisation.
* A strong track record of delivering challenging financial and operational targets.
* Experience of financial turnaround, recovery and sustainability programmes.
* Proven success leading complex transformation and organisational change.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior clinical, operational and executive stakeholders.
* Strong analytical capability, with experience turning complex data into clear actions and decisions.
* A visible, values‑led leadership style that inspires confidence and accountability.
* Resilience, pace and sound judgement in a demanding and evolving environment.
