About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate School Nurse to join our pastoral and safeguarding team. This is a vital role at the heart of our school community, supporting the health, wellbeing, and safety of our pupils throughout the school day.
Working term time only, you’ll provide high‑quality nursing care, respond to medical needs as they arise, and promote positive health education across the school. You’ll be a calm, reassuring presence for students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first aid, emergency care, and ongoing medical support to pupils and staff
* Manage care plans for students with chronic health conditions
* Administer medication in line with school policies and clinical guidelines
* Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with safeguarding requirements
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external healthcare professionals
* Promote health education and wellbeing initiatives across the school
* Support whole‑school safeguarding and pastoral care
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings both clinical expertise and a warm, approachable manner. You should have:
* Registered Nurse status
* Experience working with children or young people (school or paediatric experience desirable)
* Excellent communication and organisational skillsConfidence in making sound clinical decisions
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
