Dearden Motorcycles is a long-standing Motorcycle business that in its current form has been in business for over 20 years. Dearden Motorcycles prides itself in its customer service and as a result of our continued success and growth we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motorcycle Technician to join our experienced team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electronic knowledge with modern and older motorcycles as well as troubleshoot and problem solve effectively.
Working with the customer service team to ensure relevant and accurate information is provided to order needed parts, and also correct information for communication to customers.
Working hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 08.30 - 17.30.
28 Days Holiday per annum includes bank holidays.

1. Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out Servicing and repairs exceeding industry standard workmanship and health + safety standards.
Use current diagnostic equipment
Ensure all jobs within the workshop are carried out in a timely fashion
Test rides are carried out for bikes/scooters as appropriate and best practice followed.
Using PDI forms from Sales team to assist with ensuring new bikes are handed over to customers in a timely fashion.
Assist with ensuring all demonstrator bikes in the showroom are prepared ready for any rides in conjunction with the sales team.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs
2. General Responsibilities
Ensuring best site practices for keeping the site and property secure at all times.
Maintaining a clean work station
Carry out other duties if required by the Manager
The ideal candidate should be qualified to the equivalent of NVQ level 3 or higher and have experience in working in a busy workshop environment. MOT testing is an advantage but not necessary. Previous experience of working within the Piaggio brand is also an advantage, although training will be given.
