Overview
Permstop is proud to be supporting a global airport hospitality group in its search for a Cost Controller. Based at the client’s Head Office in West Drayton, you will provide essential support to procurement and finance operations while working closely with the teams that deliver services airside at London Heathrow Airport (LHR).
The Role: This is a key appointment at the centre of the company’s Food & Beverage cost control. You will monitor, analyse and optimise costs across all F&B outlets, partnering with operational and finance colleagues to safeguard margin and drive efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and control overall Food & Beverage costs across all outlets.
* Prepare monthly cost-control reports and weekly flash cost updates to support timely decision-making.
* Verify wastage, pilferage, voids, discounts and staff meals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Review POS (Point Soft) and WAS (Web Admission System) entries for accuracy and policy adherence.
* Ensure every menu item is accurately costed and linked to a validated recipe in Check SCM.
* Conduct regular spot checks in outlets and receiving areas to confirm correct procedures are followed.
* Analyse food and beverage cost variances and provide clear insight to management.
* Guide operational teams on menu pricing and portion-cost control.
* Participate in monthly stock-taking and monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking and waste.
* Alert relevant teams to slow-moving or expiring inventory and propose corrective actions.
* Support the continuous improvement of F&B control processes and systems.
What We Are Looking For
A detail-focused, results-driven professional with solid F&B cost-control experience and the credibility to influence operational teams.
Required
* Minimum degree in Finance or related field.
* At least 3 years’ experience in a similar cost-control or finance role within hospitality or F&B.
* Proven knowledge of Check SCM and F&B POS systems.
* Strong analytical and reporting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
* Experience in receiving, stores and hotel operations advantageous.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
* Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
