DescriptionYou will be working in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas of the business, supporting us in driving significant revenue growth from Argos across both media and insight services. This role is focussed on our development categories, onboarding new clients and nurturing growth. This is a role for a relationship building and influencing specialist with a proven commercial background. You will have a proven track record for driving investment through consultative selling, with a passion for ecommerce, digital advertising and understanding customer behaviour. You will be comfortable working with both small and large clients and thrive on building new relationships. Reporting into the Client Director – Argos Client Service, the role will lead a direct team of one, and will focus on development categories within the Argos portfolio. You will have one direct report, with the ambition to build the team in line with business growth aspirations. This role requires strategic development of long-term relationships across senior stakeholders in multiple businesses and across a wide array of industries, whilst also influencing internal Nectar360 teams and the Sainsbury’s business.You will solve business challenges across multiple stakeholders and parts of the wider Sainsbury’s business, while also being accountable to deliver a significant multi-million-pound revenue budget for your designated categoriesWhat you need to doStrategic leadership:· Develop monetisation strategy for your designated categories across Argos Media and Sainsburys Insights Platform for Argos, to help deliver against our Nectar360 ambition and commercial aspirations.· Identify opportunity across your designated categories and work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to introduce new or grow revenue with existing and new clients. · Help develop proposition that encourages new clients/suppliers to invest with Nectar360 by demonstrating the broad suite of media on offer. Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and incorporating these into future plans · Train and upskill Nectar360 teams on Argos Media. Educate your category stakeholders on the application and benefits of this media capability providing knowledge and training as applicable.Commercial Leadership:· Accountable for delivering and growing significant multi-million revenue budget in revenue from our Argos media capability within our development client base. · Long term planning for your categories and clients, focused on commercial growth, continuously evolving, and seeking to grow your revenue target, identify opportunity, risks and direct your team to execute against the plan· Prioritise business requests and lead a team of one to deliver upon your commercial strategy and category business plan. Relationship Management:· Build a strong and collaborative way of working across Nectar360 and the wider Argos business· Build a strong and collaborative working relationships with suppliers at all levels to embed Nectar360 as a leader within digital media. · Use these strong relationships and your knowledge of digital to influence and inspire commitment and investment from your clients into Argos media.· Nurture and on-board new clients to Nectar360, growing the range of media being utilised and investment across your client portfolio. Team Leadership:· Manage your team in a fair and ethical way, and with integrity. This includes performance management, coaching, and clear goal setting· Lead, develop and maintain a challenging, motivating, and supportive team environment, in which all colleagues can achieve their responsibilities and play to their strengths· Ability to matrix manage across team functions (commercial, Argos digital, ADA, and marketing) both within Nectar360 and across the wider Sainsbury’s business, to deliver on client objectives and revenue targets· Oversee and govern the workload/project management of your team deliverables to ensure that the priorities of the business are achieved through working with other key teams both internally and externally to identify monetisation and profit opportunities and maximise return on investment · Brand Ambassador for Nectar360 - excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to articulate the benefits and USP of all Nectar360 services at senior levelsWhat you need to know & show· A clear expert in digital, data-driven marketing, insights, and sales, this is a role for a strong commercial manager capable of realising significant growth targets. · Experience in managing a large (multi million) portfolio of clients, with a proven track record of delivering financial targets/budgets, preferably within the General Merchandise space· Demonstrable experience in successfully managing and motivating direct reports. · Significant experience of dealing comfortably with senior executives up to board level within clients · Experience driving tough commercial negotiations, with a track record of beneficial outcomes · Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels · Excellent communication skills with clarity of expression and engaging style · Experience working in a fast moving and pressured environment · Strong analytical/insight skills working with big data and complex challenges balancing client and business benefits· media sales experience and a deep understanding of retail and the value that can be driven from retail media, preferably within the General Merchandise space· Commercial acumen to deliver on our commercial plan· Team management and ability to drive capability · Building long-term, collaborative engagement with stakeholders from different parts of the business and all levels of seniority· Anticipating risks and knock-on implications outside your team and defining the action plans and solutions· Motivational, coaching style leadership, inspiring team to deliver top performance every day against assigned business objectives· Understanding how your role and team fits into the bigger Argos and Sainsbury’s business picture and the interdependencies What’s In it for YouIf being part of a hugely influential team wasn’t enough, you’ll also receive a host of great benefits.
