About the role
Fixed term contract for one year to cover maternity leave.
As a project officer (planning officer level) in the planning policy team, you would be directly helping to shape the future of Exeter. This varied role would provide input and support to all aspects of planning policy work, particularly the new local plan, by undertaking research, assessing data, engaging with the public and other organisations and assisting in the preparation of policy documents and maps.
About the team
Writing a new local plan, the Exeter Plan, we will be delivering on the city’s exciting, high quality growth agenda, enhancing the city’s outstanding natural and historic environment, achieving net zero carbon by 2030 and regenerating important brownfield sites. We are a small team of dedicated and friendly planning policy and monitoring officers who sit alongside our development management team within the City Development service.
