Product Support Engineer
Location: South Oxfordshire
Term: Permanent
Salary: GBP 35,000 – GBP 45,000 per annum (dependent on relevant experience)
My client works within engineering and they are looking to take on a Product Support Engineer with an Electronics / Mechatronics bias, on a permanent basis, in the South Oxfordshire area.
Qualifications
* NVQ/HNC/HND/BTEC/Degree qualified or similar in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
* Some form of industry experience in a technical role after your studies (e.g., technical engineering, technical sales, technical support or manufacturing environment)
* Knowledge of inverters, motion controllers, or similar (training provided)
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; able to work well over the phone
* Ability to work well individually as well as in a team
* Proficient with using MS Office applications
* CRM systems / SAP knowledge an advantage, but not essential
* Full UK driving licence essential for attending customer sites; flexibility to travel occasionally required
Responsibilities
* Providing technical support to customers with regards to company products
* Involved pre‑sales on the application side of things
* After‑sales troubleshooting issues
* Providing timely technical assistance over the phone, email and in person
* Working with the company CRM system
* Working closely with different company departments to help with product improvements
* Always driving continuous improvement
* Delivering technical training sessions when required
