Operating across 53 sites in the UK, this values-led education group is expanding rapidly in the early years sector. Their mission is to create outstanding learning environments and provide exceptional care for children. Theyre looking for a strategic, hands-on Head of Finance to join the team.
What youll do
As Head of Finance, youll play a key role in shaping financial strategy, strengthening the central finance function, and building team capability. Youll provide leadership and operational oversight to ensure financial excellence, support organisational growth, and guide smooth operational and cultural integration across the business.
Embed strong financial controls, processes, and reporting
Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
Provide meaningful financial analysis, insight, and modelling to support strategic decision-making
Oversee cashflow management, payroll, tax, compliance, and external audit relationships
Drive the financial strategy, aligning finance with wider business objectives
Act as a trusted business partner to the senior leadership team challenging, advising, and influencing key decisions
Mentor and support your team, raising capability and delivering continuous improvement
About you
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Proven track record in a senior finance role, ideally within a multi-site, service-led, or high-growth business
Strong technical and commercial finance skills
Experienced in leading and motivating teams, with a coaching and supportive style
Comfortable operating in an evolving environment, able to scale processes and systems
Clear and confident communicator, able to influence at senior level
Values-driven, with a genuine passion to make a positive impact in the early years sector
