Responsibilities
* Lead the full lifecycle of complex drainage schemes-from initial concept through to completion-independently.
* Conduct investigations, gather, and analyse data to inform design decisions.
* Produce feasibility studies, technical designs, and concise reports.
* Prepare and develop funding bids on behalf of the client.
* Deliver both preliminary and detailed drainage designs in line with DMRB, Local Design Specs, Sewage Sector Guidance, CDM2015, and BIM standards.
* Draft and assemble contract documents ready for procurement.
* Manage contract administration duties efficiently.
* Oversee construction activities to ensure quality and compliance.
* Ensure health, safety, and welfare for yourself and your team.
* Support the development of colleagues and act as a line manager when required.
* Work confidently with Civil 3D/AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, and the Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications
* Experience in highway drainage engineering.
* Proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Understanding of DMRB, Local Design Specs, Sewage Sector Guidance, CDM2015, and BIM standards.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to produce high-quality technical designs and reports.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Commitment to health, safety, and welfare standards.
* Ability to manage and support team development.
