 
        
        Infrastructure Support Engineer
As an Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will work closely with the IT Manager to provide support for end users and internal network infrastructure. On a day‑to‑day basis you may help colleagues with basic IT needs, setting up new users, managing backups, security and passwords.
Key Responsibilities
 * Assist end users with hardware, connectivity, printer, and software issues.
 * Check daily backups.
 * Update network applications as required.
 * Escalate issues to appropriate parties when necessary and replace or repair defective hardware and software.
 * Ensure antivirus software is installed and kept up to date on all machines.
 * Perform routine server monitoring and performance benchmarking.
 * Monitor and remove viruses, spyware, and other unauthorized software.
 * Document procedures where applicable.
 * Maintain disaster recovery documentation.
 * Complete ad‑hoc projects as requested.
Minimum Criteria
 * English and Maths at GCSE standard or equivalent.
 * Excellent organisational skills.
 * Ability to build good relationships with colleagues.
 * Confidence to challenge processes.
Qualifications and Experience (Desirable)
 * BTEC National Diploma in Computer Studies.
 * NVQ Level 2 in IT Practitioners.
Personal Skills and Abilities (Must Have)
 * Ability to achieve deadlines and targets.
 * Ability to work under own initiative.
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 * High self‑motivation and determination to succeed.
 * Excellent time management.
