Role Overview:
One of Europe's largest and most innovative manufacturing businesses, are currently looking to appoint a number of highly experienced Maintenance Engineers to their site based in Horncastle, Lincolnshire.
Shifts are either (i) Days (4 on 4 off) (ii) 2 Days 2 Nights 4 Off
Objective:
Adhere to Health and Safety regulation at all times during remit of employment across entire plant. To deliver constant high performance KPIs by being proactive, and delivering engineering and preventative maintenance service across the whole factory. It is imperative that an efficient and effective break down repair service is delivered.
Responsibilities:
* Adhere to Health and Safety Legislation for self and colleagues at all times across entire plant.
* Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance to ensure minimum factory/machine downtime.
* Contribute to implementing new working methods and actively participate in continuous improvement.
* Effectively prioritise workload to maintain plant and equipment at the required levels and maximise machine availability.
* Ensure consistency in quality of work across the various lines.
* To actively and analytically fault find.
* Ensure smooth changeovers/handovers between shifts.
* To understand company performance measurements.
* Any other duty that can be reasonably expected.
Personal Specification:
* Time Served with a recognised apprenticeship, or qualified by experience.
* Experience & understanding of automated manufacturing systems advantageous.
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic and capable of working unsupervised.
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
* A hands-on team player with the ability to communicate effectively in all formats.
* Excellent communication skills, at all levels.
* Ability to demonstrate previous involvement in continuous improvements initiatives.
* Understanding of control systems & PLCs would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of water treatment plant, recycling and compounding machines would be beneficial.
