The Oldwalls Collection is looking for a hard-working and diligent individual in a rare opportunity to join our award-winning team as a Kitchen Porter. This entry-level position requires a receptive individual with ability to work under pressure.
As Kitchen Porter, your job will be to assist the kitchen in every way required, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen to the highest standard and making sure it runs smoothly.
Our reputation as an outstanding wedding venue begins with our Kitchen Porters. Without them, the kitchen cannot function properly and the quality of our kitchen is of paramount importance to us.
This job is demanding, but rewarding. The right candidate will be receptive to instruction, undertaking tasks as told to them, whilst maintaining the right balance between speed and quality. You would be expected to be presentable, reliable and with the ability to adapt to the changing environment of the kitchen, which can at times be challenging.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to get their foot in the door of an award-winning venue, run by the critically acclaimed Executive Head Chef Chris Keenan. For the right candidate, this is a chance to witness first-hand an exceptionally run kitchen, with the chance to progress through the ranks of the kitchen.
The right candidate should be flexible with their availability, as a Kitchen Porter, you would be required to be available for both weekday and weekend shifts. However, whether you're seeking 20 or 40 hours a week, we aim to facilitate a healthy work/life balance that is successful for all involved. An ability to drive is preferred but not entirely essential.
