Social Care Assistant
Job Summary
Provide care and support to service users in a local community setting, promoting their independence, rights, choice and individuality. This temporary role involves working 16.75 hours per week for 6 months and requires availability to work one of our shift rosters.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote service users’ independence, rights, choice, and individuality.
* Support service users with daily living activities, including meal planning and preparation for special dietary requirements.
* Assist with the care of vulnerable adults, including those with dementia.
* Ensure service users are engaged in meaningful activities and maintain confidentiality in the workplace.
Qualifications
* SVQ in Social Care Level 2 or 3 or an HNC in Social Care, or willingness to work toward these qualifications.
* Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or in the process of registration; registration required within six months of commencing employment.
Location and Hours
McKillop Grades, East Kilbride.
16.75 hours per week, temporary for 6 months.
Salary
£14,034 – £14,235 per annum.
