Hello, we’re Severn Trent and we think water is wonderful.

24 hours a day, 365 days a year we serve 4.8 million households and businesses across the heart of the UK. Each cuppa drunk and every toilet flushed is only possible because of the brilliant team members working across our patch.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality. We know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our customers and the communities where they live.

If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’re creating a new dedicated ‘Proactive Pollution Prevention Team’ to bolster our commitment to protecting local environments and boost the resilience of our waste network. This new 60-strong team, means we need a team of skilled electricians to join us.

As an ‘Electrical Maintenance Technician’ in this exciting new team, you’ll serve as an additional layer of protection for our wastewater network, focusing on proactively improving and overhauling our pumping stations.

You’ll play a crucial role in reducing issues and preventing potential problems at pumping stations, making a real difference to communities, the environment, and customers.

We're recruiting these roles right across the Severn Trent region, with opportunities in Warwickshire, Leicestershire, West Midlands, Worcestershire, Gloucester, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.

You’ll be based at one of our main sewage treatment sites (whichever is closest to your home location) and will be provided with a vehicle for business use, laptop, mobile, safety clothing and tools appropriate to the job.

The core working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 3.30pm and Friday 7.30am - 3pm, you’ll also participate in a 24/7 stand-by rota and will be eligible for overtime.

So, if you care about the environment, are curious about how things work and have the courage to challenge ways of working, we are certain you will be proud to work for Severn Trent.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

And we’ll also help you play your part in looking after the environment and the communities where we live.

* 25 days holiday + bank holidays (and the ability to buy/ sell up to 5 days per year)
* Annual bonus scheme (of up to £1,500, which is subject to eligibility)
