Energy Consultant – Account Management Role Overview This role sits within World Kinects well-established Energy Consulting team, supporting a portfolio of existing clients while generating new business through recommendations and referrals. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing a service-led approach to energy procurement and related solutions. You’ll manage clients with full training to help you understand each client’s needs. While energy experience is an advantage, it is not essential —a strong background in consultative or service-based sales is key. The team is highly experienced and collaborative. You’ll have autonomy over your diary, travel, and client interactions, working from home, in office and on the road. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop an existing portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact Build long-term, trusted relationships through a consultative, service-led approach Secure energy contract renewals and identify cross-sell opportunities across the wider business Generate new business primarily through client recommendations and referrals Prepare for and attend client meetings with a strong understanding of client needs and contracts Monitor energy market activity and provide informed guidance to clients Maintain accurate CRM records, including meeting outcomes and follow-up actions Ensure Letters of Authority are in place for all clients Liaise with internal teams to resolve queries and share relevant client insights Attend monthly team meetings and occasional external events or training sessions Support colleagues and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment Travel & Working Style Regular client visits across areas such as (and not limited to) Manchester, Hull, and Halifax Full control over travel planning and diary management Experience & Background Proven experience in a service-led sales or account management role (e.g. insurance, telecoms, utilities, or other brokered services) A seasoned sales professional comfortable with both account management and light new business Energy sector experience or interest is an advantage, but not essential Skills & Attributes Confident, credible, and highly personable Strong relationship-building and communication skills Consultative seller with cross-selling capability Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working autonomously Commercially aware with a strong customer service ethic Calm under pressure and adaptable to change Strong team player with a collaborative mindset Essential Requirements Excellent sales and negotiation skills Good IT skills (CRM systems, Microsoft Office) Ability to manage workload, priorities, and deadlines independently Full, valid UK driving licence
