We are now recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Support Workers (HCSWs) to become part of our wider health care team, which provides high standards of care to our patients.
This role is available across our surgery and critical care division, including:
* Trauma and orthopaedic
* Theatres
* Ophthalmology
You will attend a robust clinical induction program, and comprehensive practical based program, to gain the skills and knowledge to provide quality care to our patients. We will provide you with the tools to gain your care certificate if you have not already completed it.
We welcome applications for those seeking both full and part-time employment, with a minimum contract of 30 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Our HCSWs work as part of the ward/department team under the supervision of registered nurse/midwife and:
* Participate in the delivery of patient care
* Contribute towards ward/department organisation
* Support registered nurses in the provision of a safe and caring environment
* Complete the National Care Certificate
The post is advertised as a Band 3 role subject to successfully completing the care certification within the six month probationary period of employment, or providing a copy of your completed care certificate which has been reviewed during the recruitment process and determined as meeting the accepted standard.

Job responsibilities and person specification
Please note the following requirements:
* Level One Functional Skills in maths and English or above
* Demonstrates an understanding of the importance of quality of care
* Able to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues verbally and in writing skills
* Previous experience in health care
* Experience of working in the care setting
* Care certificate
