Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
You will be a clinical expert with a clinical caseload, supporting your team’s development and representing advanced practice at a care group level and within cancer care at a divisional and organisational level. You will have a proven track record of effective leadership, change management and the ability to work across professional and departmental boundaries. The role involves governance in advanced practice and the ability to independently enact a problem‑solving approach to ensure service continuity and quality improvement initiatives. The retention and ongoing development of the Cancer Care ACP team is a key part of the role, with supervision and support of those undertaking their educational ACP pathways.

Essential criteria
* MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice – full master (180 credits) or equivalency pathway – the portfolio route – recognition by HEE centre of Advanced practice, via the supported portfolio route. Including NMP where professional registration permits.
* Qualified ACP
* Registered Healthcare Professional on relevant part of NMC / HCPC register
* Evidence of advanced leadership qualities, experience of educating and developing staff
* Evidence of change, management, leadership and innovation
* Evidenced based care philosophy
* Ability to prioritise work and adapt to changing deadlines
* Confident of own knowledge base
* Ability to synthesise complex information quickly and able to communicate
* Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels
Desirable criteria
* Act in the role of Practice Assessor or supporting the progression of learners / supporting challenges as needed
* EPLS/PALS provider
* Project Management skills
* Provide evidence of Leading learning in practice
* Evidence of developing and implementing policy, guidelines and projects from initiation to completion
* Development / use of integrated patient care pathways
* Experience of nurse‑led care / clinics in own practice
* Multidisciplinary team working
* Research awareness/experience
