At Gallagher, we’re looking for a Team Manager to join our Corporate Handling operation function based in Birmingham. Are you organised, ambitious and keen to set the example for others? You will provide leadership and support for 4 Team Leaders and their direct reports (30 Account Handlers) and will be the main escalation point. You will primarily be responsible for maximising the team’s performance on a day-to-day basis, acting as the bridge between our Account Handling team and team of Account Executives, and ensuring individual objectives are achieved in order to maximise profitable revenues and continual business growth. Hybrid working will be expected (3 days in the office, 2 days from home). How you'll make an impact You will manage a team of Team Leaders and ensure that the account handler team runs efficiently and professionally. Champion the client experience and work closely with the Branch Operations Manager and Heads of Corporate to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery to clients. Ensure excellent communications are maintained between all stakeholders to ensure clients are managed effectively. Embed a best practice approach to employee strategies and operational processes, and implement operational excellence tasks. Identify ways to improve team performance to meet agreed KPIs and behaviours. Ensure all employees within the team are prepared and motivated to perform as effectively as possible encouraging succession throughout the team, including mentoring staff. Create a team environment conducive to optimise performance. Coordinate and handle all aspects of people supervision. Carry out effective performance management of the team, ensuring actions are taken where necessary. Carry out regular 1-2-1’s and annual performance appraisals and provide regular feedback where necessary. Actively manage and lead internal company and team meetings, providing updated data as required. Provide accurate data for and participate in Senior Leadership meetings. From time-to-time, act as directed by the Branch MD in projects and activities relating to Account Management. About you Cert CII/ Dip CII/ (Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications) desirable Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent is desirable Technical Knowledge Good knowledge of general insurance products (Corporate insurance desirable), services, and basic underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity Experience Strong team management experience gained in a commercial setting Significant business acumen in operational management of developing/coaching a team Proven track record of achieving/exceeding SLA Experience of dealing with complex relationships internal and external Demonstrated rapport-building experience Evidence of effectively prioritising risks to manage concurrent workflow Skills/other Excellent people management skills Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the Company, including senior level management Good organisational skills for forward planning Problem-solving mindset Excellent personal organisation and prioritisation skills are required along with the ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities Ability to lead and motivate others High level of empathy and engagement to gain trust Highest degree of ethics and integrity in client focus Eligibility Requirements Eligible to work in the UK #LI-JJG Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
