Job Title: Domestic Abuse Services - Pathways Worker Job Location: Walsall Salary - £13.16 per hour Contract type - Permanent Working hours - Full Time 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday About the Service Domestic Abuse Walsall Service provides emergency, short-term accommodation, refuge and dispersed provision for women and men, with or without children, who are escaping abuse. We provide a wrap around service that supports the client and family unit to recover and resettle. About the role To provide a first response to callers who need safe accommodation. Liaising with victims and external agencies to establish if domestic abuse accommodation is available and safe for the victim. Establish risk posed to the victim and assess suitability for accommodation services Offering immediate advice, liaising and signposting to other agencies Receive and process referrals to the service from a variety of sources including specialist agencies, housing, social care, police, health care staff and self-referrals Ensure appropriate and safe travel arrangements are in place for service user Advertise vacancies on Refuges Online and with Walsall Housing teams, keeping this up to date. Work with Housing IDVA to ensure information is shared appropriately on new service users coming into the scheme To ensure allocated support workers are aware of the background of the new service user and their family by maintaining Up-to-date and accurate client records Management of data and produce weekly and monthly reports This post is open to Female applicants, D ue to the specific requirements of this role, this post is exempt under the Equality Act (2010), Part 1, Schedule 9 (Genuine Occupational Requirement ).We are striving to be an Equal Opportunities Employer and all employees are expected to actively support Equal Opportunities Policie s.
