Overview
Metro is a logistics provider delivering import/export air, ocean and road freight forwarding, supply chain management, and specialised services in retail, manufacturing and chemicals. We have invested in our European Roadfreight division and are seeking a proactive individual to join a strong, dynamic team in Earl Shilton, England, United Kingdom.
You will be responsible for the daily operations of key client accounts, ensuring goods are delivered quickly and cost-effectively via our network of services and partners.
Responsibilities
* Roadfreight Accounts: be the main point of contact for some key clients, develop relationships with stakeholders, understand client requirements, manage shipment flows, find solutions for the client, and handle shipments/quotes/queries daily.
* Customer Service: understand individual client requirements, build strong relationships, provide prompt responses and high service levels, and input information into internal systems following procedures.
* General Responsibility: take ownership of your workload, manage tasks with minimal guidance, and contribute to the company’s growth as you develop your career.
General Skills
* Aiming to develop your career further.
* Excellent customer service skills and experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience in European Roadfreight is preferred but not essential.
* Demonstrable customer-facing skills are advantageous.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong planning and attention to detail.
* Education: ideally A-Level standard; degree level is preferable.
