Your new role
Deliver an integrated, flexible, and high-quality facilities management service, prioritizing staff and participant safety at all times. Ensure the highest standards of facilities management best practices, statutory compliance, security, housekeeping, and general health and safety are maintained. Act as the primary staff member for FM issues and provide cover for the Facilities Manager when absent.
Key duties include:
1. Ensuring the facility is well maintained and a high standard of service delivery is received from the in-house maintenance team and specialist external contractors.
2. Organizing reactive maintenance and repair of HVAC, autoclaves, and specialist systems.
3. Maintaining and repairing en-suite bathrooms, sinks, and plumbed facilities.
4. Carrying out planned preventive maintenance, inspections, and testing of all facilities, plant, equipment, and systems.
5. Assisting the Facilities Manager with administrative tasks, including updating spreadsheets, maintaining space management information on the CAFM system, and analyzing helpdesk requests.
6. Taking overall responsibility for the health and safety of the day-to-day running of the facility.
What you'll need to succeed
* HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Experience with first fix plumbing and general maintenance.
* NEBOSH certification.
* Level 8 qualification.
* COSHH training.
* Trained First Aider.
