Why this role matters
As a Finance Business Partner – Channel SMB, you will be responsible for providing financial and commercial support to our SMB sales channels. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver sales targets at optimal cost, driving insight-led decisions on performance, channel strategy, and forecasting.
What you'll be doing
* Deliver proactive financial and commercial support to Channel SMB stakeholders to drive optimal business decisions and performance.
* Analyse channel financials and develop KPI-led reporting to identify key drivers and efficiency improvement opportunities.
* Support channel growth strategy and evaluate investment cases to ensure alignment with business targets and profitability.
* Design and manage commission and pay plans that drive appropriate sales behaviours and align payments with business performance.
* Monitor SMB transformation initiatives and conduct post-investment reviews to ensure effective structures deliver profitable growth.
* Identify and manage financial and commercial risks in line with Group Risk Policy, developing expert knowledge to support the wider team.
* Continuously develop and share expert knowledge of emerging trends and financial reporting practices, supporting the wider finance team and stakeholders.
The skills you'll need
* Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with post-qualified experience in a large organisation.
* Strong commercial finance business partnering experience.
* Excellent modelling and financial analysis skills, including investment appraisal and commercial evaluation.
* Proven ability to own and manage budget and forecast processes, delivering accurate and insightful outputs.
* Strong influencing skills with experience engaging senior and executive stakeholders in a highly matrixed organisation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate financials into meaningful insight to inform decision making.
