We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Consultant specializing in renewable energy to join our SES team. Our team has a national presence, and we welcome applications from candidates who can commute to any of our offices across the UK.

Your role will include:
* Leading technical and project delivery for grid-scale/Front of the Meter renewable energy and storage consultancy projects, primarily battery and solar, with experience in other technologies beneficial.
* Overseeing project delivery for your portfolio.
* Managing and developing client relationships.
* Managing project finances.
* Resource management for the team.
* Leading, recruiting, and developing team members.

Ideal experience includes:
* Grid connection applications and negotiations for renewable projects (c20-500MW)
* Renewable energy and storage development processes
* Revenue opportunities in grid services, auctions, etc.
* Technical knowledge of PV, Wind, Hydro, Anaerobic Digestion, Battery Storage, Hydrogen
* Engagement with TNO/DNO and development management
* Planning processes for various development scales
* Supply chain and partner relationships
* Industry changes and opportunities (Ofgem, NGESO, REMA, etc.)
Beneficial but not essential:
* Business development and sales in renewables
* Team operations and resource planning
* Management of junior staff
* Process and technical improvements
