Salary: £31,049 – £37,796 pro rata per annum
Job Overview
The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an experienced Band 5 Staff Nurse to support the Interventional Radiology Recovery and Ultrasound units during a 12‑month secondment. The role requires a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who can deliver high standard clinical care and actively contribute to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide post‑procedure recovery care and support patients during ultrasound procedures.
* Maintain accurate and timely records, both written and electronic, in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards.
* Identify and respond to changes in patient condition, taking timely action and referring appropriately.
* Collaborate with colleagues to manage emergency situations and coordinate with other agencies as required.
* Participate in multidisciplinary reviews, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and uphold the Trust’s core values of Compassionate, Aspirational, Resourceful, Excellent.
Person Specification
* NMC registered nurse – essential.
* Experience in Interventional Radiology desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Excellent communication, clinical decision‑making skills, and a positive approach to change.
* Commitment to professional development within the NHS framework, including completion of core employment checks and a 6‑month probationary period.
