Production Engineer

What You'll Do:
1. Design and implement jigs, fixtures, and tooling to streamline production.
2. Lead engineering projects, troubleshoot equipment, and manage 3D-printing capabilities.
3. Produce technical drawings and 3D CAD models for both standard and custom products.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including R&D, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing-to solve complex production challenges.
5. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost quality, productivity, and profitability.
6. Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, ensure operational uptime, and support safety compliance.
What You Bring:
7. Minimum 5 years' experience in production engineering.
8. Strong hands-on, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects.
9. Solid experience with SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) and technical drawings.
10. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and quality management processes.
11. Excellent organisational, communication, and collaboration skills.
12. Adaptable, proactive, and solution-focused with a drive for continuous improvement.
Bonus Skills:
13. Experience with scientific equipment or glassworking is a plus but not essential.
14. Current UK driving license and ability to visit suppliers occasionally.
