Were now looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our Worksop manufacturing facility, supporting continuous improvement across our production operations.
The Role
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, youll be a key technical expert within our operations team. Youll identify, develop and implement process improvements across production lines, deliver engineering projects from concept through to full production, and support the introduction of new manufacturing technologies. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our processes are efficient, robust, safe, and aligned with best practicehelping Vernacare continue to set the standard in healthcare manufacturing.
This role reports to the CI Manager (Chorley & Worksop) .
Key Responsibilities
Act as the manufacturing process expert on assigned production lines
Review, assess and improve existing manufacturing processes and workflows
Analyse production data to identify improvement opportunities
Lead projects from concept, through design and commissioning, into full production
Specify requirements, support vendor selection and commission new equipment
Develop standard ways of working to ensure effective use of resources
Create SOPs and safe working practices in collaboration with HSE
Implement best practice for process and operational excellence across the business
What Were Looking For
Essential experience:
Experience within a manufacturing environment
At least 2 years in a process improvement or engineering role
Strong understanding of mechanical machinery
Confident problem-solver with a data-driven mindset
Experience using Kaizen or continuous improvement principles
Ability to write clear, concise operating procedures
Desirable experience:
Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
Experience within non-woven, conversion or medical device manufacturing
Familiarity with ISO 13485
Personal attributes:
Hands-on and proactive
Strong communication and influencing skills
Well organised with good planning skills
A collaborative team player
Confident decision-maker with good IT skills
Eager to learn and continuously improve
