About the Role
One of my local government clients is seeking a proactive and well-organised Business Support Assistant to join the Education Department at Wrexham County Borough Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide essential administrative support within a busy public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the first point of contact for internal and external queries
*
Manage data entry, record-keeping, and information systems
*
Prepare letters, reports, forms, and presentations using departmental templates
*
Support meetings – arranging logistics, taking minutes, and distributing documentation
*
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintain departmental filing systems
*
Assist with financial admin tasks, such as processing invoices and petty cash
*
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with council policies and procedures
About You:
*
Previous administrative experience, ideally within a public sector or education setting
*
Confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management systems
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
*
Strong attention to detail and a professional approach
