Business Development Lead

Position Description

As a Business Development Lead in the Leeds and Yorkshire region, you will drive growth across key commercial sectors, shaping opportunities that leverage CGI's expertise in digital transformation, cloud, data, AI, and managed services. Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will be at the forefront of CGI's growth strategy in the Leeds and Yorkshire region, driving new business across key private sector industries. You will identify, shape, and close high-value opportunities while acting as a trusted advisor who links CGI's solutions to real-world business outcomes. You'll bring together cross-functional teams to design winning propositions, ensuring clients benefit from CGI's deep expertise in IT services, consulting, and innovation.

You will own the end-to-end sales lifecycle, from developing market-specific strategies and nurturing executive-level relationships to leading competitive pursuits and securing long-term partnerships. Supported by CGI's collaborative culture and global network, you'll be empowered to deliver measurable impact while advancing your own career.

Key Responsibilities Include

* Lead & Innovate: Drive business sales across private sector organisations in Leeds and Yorkshire.
* Develop & Deliver: Build and convert a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities.
* Engage & Influence: Leverage your regional network to develop multi-threaded executive relationships.
* Shape & Win: Lead end-to-end pursuit efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams to win competitive deals.
* Translate & Align: Transform client insight into tailored solutions that demonstrate tangible business value.
* Represent & Advocate: Act as a regional ambassador for CGI at industry events and executive forums.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

To succeed in this position, you will bring strong commercial acumen, deep knowledge of the Yorkshire business landscape, and a proven track record of delivering results in business development or strategic sales. You will be confident working with C-suite stakeholders, skilled at shaping solutions to client challenges, and motivated to drive meaningful outcomes through technology-enabled transformation.

You Should Have

* Proven experience in business development or strategic sales within private sector organisations.
* Strong understanding of industries such as Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics, or Financial Services.
* Demonstrated success managing the full sales lifecycle, from opportunity identification to closure.
* A well-established professional network across Yorkshire.
* Ability to build multi-threaded client relationships at all levels.
* Commercial acumen to shape and win profitable deals.
* Strong collaboration and leadership skills to drive complex pursuits.
* Curiosity and insight-driven mindset, with awareness of evolving industry and technology trends.
