Senior Town Planner (5+ Years' Experience)

A highly respected, design‑led practice is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join its growing planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially aware planner with at least 5 years' post‑qualification experience to take the next step in their career within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering a wide range of planning projects across sectors including residential, commercial, education, and regeneration. Working closely with architects, urban designers, and external stakeholders, you will contribute to high‑quality, sustainable developments from concept through to approval.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and managing planning applications and appeals
* Preparing planning statements, reports, and supporting documentation
* Providing strategic planning advice to clients and internal teams
* Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
* Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
* Supporting junior team members and contributing to team development
About You
* MRTPI qualified (or working towards)
* Minimum 5 years' post‑qualification experience in a consultancy or similar environment
* Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and procedures
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to manage projects and deadlines effectively
* Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution‑focused approach
