Position Details
* Location: On-site at Harpenden, Herefordshire
* Contract: Permanent, full-time position (flexible and part-time hours available upon request)
Your Role
As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various projects within the Thames Water framework. Your contributions will be technical, organizational, and supervisory, ensuring the successful delivery of project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the main technical adviser on-site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
* Set out, level, and survey the site to determine the location for infrastructure installations.
* Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy, ensuring compliance with specifications.
* Negotiate prices for materials and propose cost-effective solutions for projects.
* Manage and interpret contract documents provided by clients or designers.
* Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, and local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* Experience in a civil engineering or construction environment, particularly in the Water sector.
* Strong consultative and collaborative skills, with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
* Organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
* A full UK Driving Licence.
