Our client is redefining carbon capture by developing advanced carbon sequestration systems that are both practical and scalable. Despite widespread pledges to curb emissions, many countries continue to struggle with reducing greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide, while global temperatures steadily rise. Scientists agree, even the slightest increase in temperature has profound consequences. Climate change is already outpacing the ability of people, plants, and wildlife to adapt.


By 2028, they envision expansive warehouses and open environments equipped with their next generation, large scale bioreactors. These innovative systems will stand at the forefront of carbon reduction, harnessing nature’s capabilities to absorb CO₂ and transform it into valuable, usable resources. Driven by a steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship, their goal is to deploy a widespread network of bioreactors that will play a critical role in the fight against climate change.


The Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager who thrives at the intersection of climate innovation and strategic growth. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in scaling our partnerships, expanding market presence, and driving revenue as we transition from R&D to commercialisation.

Responsibilities

· Identify and develop strategic partnerships, including industrial clients, government agencies, research institutions, and environmental organisations.

· Lead the creation of go-to-market strategies, business models, and growth plans in alignment with our product roadmap.

· Research and target new markets for deployment of the company's bioreactor systems.

· Negotiate and close commercial deals and partnership agreements.

· Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure market feedback informs development.

· Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings.

· Monitor climate policy, incentive programs, and regulatory frameworks to identify new business opportunities.


Qualifications

· 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships - preferably in climate tech, clean energy, or sustainability sectors.

· Strong understanding of carbon markets, ESG trends, and climate policy is highly desirable.

· Proven ability to build relationships and close deals with diverse stakeholders (government, private sector, NGOs).

· Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for climate impact and innovation.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
