Job Description
3. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
4. Support budget preparation and forecasting processes.
5. Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
6. Manage accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
7. Provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
8. Assist with VAT returns and compliance requirements.
9. Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial data.
10. Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and projects.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
11. Relevant qualifications or currently studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
12. May be studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA).
13. Experience in accounting and finance roles within the business services industry.
14. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
15. Eager to progress and have more hands on experience working closely with the management accountant.
16. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
17. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
18. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
