Job Summary

As part of the FPP Internal Sales Department and reporting to the Air and Fluid Handling Commercial Manager, the key elements of this role are for the individual to be responsible for coordinating the day to day Request For Quotation (RFQ) activity across the business (James Dawson (JD), liaising with all Stakeholders, supporting the Business Coordinator to ensure quotes are processed in line with the dept. Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), and to effectively meet customers' expectations and closely working with the NPD team once the first order is received.

Duties

· As part of the Internal Sales team, you will be key to supporting the External Sales team and the customer, with the ultimate goal being to drive the company forward to market growth.

· This role will also include (but not limited to) one to one direct dealings with A&FH Business Development/Account Managers, other sales individuals and marketing team members.

· Direct communication with A&FH strategic customers and non-strategic customers will be necessary.

· Responsibility for teams KPI's and outputs is expected, ensuring full utilization of the current platforms.

· Assisting the A&FH Commercial Manager with the collation and reporting of the KPI's.

· Assisting the A&FH Commercial Manager with the collation and reporting of the Business Quoted reports.

· Regular dialogue across all departments (Customer Services, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Business Analytics etc.) at all levels of the business is part of the role.

· Individual decision making is a critical expectation of this role, for all tasks.

· Attendance and active participation to both Internal and External meetings is a necessity.

· Channel and coordinate day to day activity with the aim of supporting the Business Coordinator, to allow the A&FH Commercial Manager to direct their focus on to the growth of the Strategic customer base, both new and existing.

Excellent communication skills, priority setting, flexibility and being able to work under moments of pressure is key to this role.

Principal Accountabilities

* Management of the daily RFQ process:

o Supporting the Business Coordinator with efficient dealings of new customer enquiries (RFQ's)

o Subsequent part pricing and quotation generation (5 Day turnaround/KPI) to either Sales and/or the customer

o Individual decision-making regarding margins based on previous history available, or recommendations to the Account Managers in the absence of history

o Use of customer portals to access and submit RFQ's and cost breakdowns, where applicable.

o Margin reports for customer accounts – utilizing the Business Analyst team and systems in place, where necessary

o Support the Sales team by following up with the customer on previously submitted quotations

o Activate pricing adjustments within the company's ERP system (JDE/Oracle) and provide Customers/Sales Managers with updated product price lists.

o Responsibility for specific customer accounts pricing and price list maintenance.

o Liaise with New Product Development (NPD)/Innovation and Technology (I&T) at the initial manufacturing stages of any new business orders.

o Basic Project Management to implement new business packages with the support of the CM and the NPD/I&T depts'

o Close liaison with the Sales team and Customer Services team

o Close liaison with all other departments for overall Sales Support

o Support the A&FH CM in preparing sales analysis for monthly Sales Reports and S&OP meetings

o Customer Account Analysis – reviewing turnover/margins/sales values

o Customer debit note handling

o To attend Business-Critical meetings and provide the information learnt to the wider team

Experience

Qualifications

· Excellent level of Math's and English is required

· Excellent level of Excel and Powerpoint skill and knowledge is required

· Business Qualification or previous experience in a Customer Service/Customer facing or Sales Support role is essential.

· Six Sigma Qualification is advantageous but not essential.

· Project Management experience advantageous, but not essential

· Foreign language skills advantageous, but not essential.

· Technical knowledge/experience is advantageous but not essential

Skills & Knowledge

· Ability to interact with global customer base

· Commercial and/or industrial knowledge is beneficial

· Industry and Technical knowledge is advantageous

· Excellent computer skills are essential

· Strong Analytical skills are essential

· Well-organized and punctual

· A confident approach with excellent interpersonal skills

· Drive, determination, persistence, and self-management essential

· A team player, being able to set priorities, have flexibility and being able to work under moments of pressure is key to this role

· Ability for high levels of independent working
