We are looking for someone with great organisational skills who would enjoy working as part of our small, friendly team, managing the diaries of the Public Health Intelligence Manager and Consultant in Public Health and supporting the team with a variety of administrative tasks.
The Public Health Intelligence team, led by the PH Intelligence Manager, are a team of 7 analysts responsible for creating and reporting on a wide variety of information about the health and wellbeing of Wakefield residents. The Consultant in Public Health line manages the team as part of their portfolio.
Specific experience in a PA role is not essential, but you should be able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, including coordinating and taking minutes of meetings. You should have experience of Microsoft packages, particularly Teams. You should also demonstrate the ability to manage busy diaries and meeting requests for the Consultant and Public Health Intelligence Manager. Experience of using finance and/or HR systems would be an advantage.
As a team we aim to support development of all our staff, and it is likely that you would have the opportunity to work on specific projects related to the team’s needs and your interests.
As the Public Health Intelligence Manager has responsibilities related to information governance, it would be helpful to have experience of information governance, data protection and/or working with sensitive or confidential information.
The team are strong supporters of flexible and hybrid working models, with most typically in the office 1-2 days per week. We can offer a flexible mixture of home and office working based on the demands of the role and the preferences of the successful candidate. However, you should be able to attend the office in Wakefield One when necessary.
