The person holding this position will report to the Head of IT. The core responsibility- The IT support analyst is responsible for providing 2nd line support on all aspects of the IT infrastructure and daily BAU. Additional IT project work may be required as part of this role. Procurement and liaising with suppliers is also required. The individual will embrace a culture of continuous improvement within the team and strive to make processes and practices as efficient and effective as possible by constructively challenging “non-value” added activities while still ensuring compliance with Norgine policies/procedures. Requirements The job holder will be responsible for providing proactive IT support on the following key areas: • Undertake Infrastructure IT Service Delivery at the Hengoed M&S site • Undertake application support at the Hengoed M&S site • Provide overall support to all aspects of the IT infrastructure at regional level to ensure maximum uptime. • Build effective relationships with colleagues and the business to ensure effective IT service delivery. • Analyse and propose methods of improving service delivery in local regions. • Follow Project methodology for IT technical projects and improvements • To contribute to and follow all global and local IT processes as required by IT Management • Actively participate in projects as required by IT Management • Actively participate in specific technology areas either locally or globally as required by IT Management • Actively participate in the global organisation initiatives as required by IT Management • This role may also include a specialist area such as Desktop, database etc • Some out of hours working may be required as part of this role. • Become part of the On Call rota following a period of training. Knowledge and Skills • Strong IT experience • Good understanding of IT technologies such as networking, Servers, desktop and adhoc application support • Ability to convey complex technical points without jargon and in plain English. • Customer Focused • Excellent verbal, written and documentation skills • Excellent planning, organisational and prioritising skills • Solution/Results-orientated • Attitude of continuous system improvement • Reliability, Flexibility, Diligence and Proactive • Effective team player with demonstrated experience • Proven ability to prioritize based on business needs. • Ability to drive improved performance in delivery and customer service. • Ability to maintain a positive, confident and professional front in all situations. • Energetic with genuine enthusiasm for the role and driven in approach. • Strong analytical approach, excellent problem solving capabilities and the ability to debate issues in a constructive manner. • Meticulous attention to detail with well-developed coordination skills. • Must possess a “can do” attitude and be enthusiastic with a positive outlook. • A self-starter with a high degree of initiative, ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Keep the customers in the loop until their problems are resolved. Working Contacts • All Key users and stakeholders. • IT Team – M&S Infrastructure, IT Engagement and Local IT teams. • Major Customers and Suppliers, as required. • Direct Report – Head of IT. • IT Governance Staff (liaise for documentation and change management guidance) Benefits Our benefits may vary per location.
