Community Occupational Therapy - Rehabilitation
Occupational Therapist – Band 6, 30 hours
Are you ready for a new exciting challenge? We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist interested in developing or gaining experience in community rehabilitation as part of the Community Rehabilitation Team.
We are part of a friendly, hardworking, and dynamic integrated team, including physiotherapists, Dundee City Council Occupational Therapists, the Integrated Living Officer, and Store Manager. The Dundee East and West Rehabilitation teams work closely to serve the people of Dundee. Located across two sites, this role offers opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills, focusing on maximizing clients' functional potential. Referrals come from hospitals within Dundee, GP practices, other health and social care providers, third sector providers, and self-referrals.
The caseload includes clients with complex needs and various diagnoses. We use individualized rehabilitation approaches to promote independence and quality of life, linking with statutory and third sector services for a holistic approach.
Services may operate over seven days to support patient flow and test different delivery models, requiring flexible working hours. Currently, there is no weekend working at Community Rehabilitation.
Opportunities exist to develop leadership skills. The Occupational Therapist will contribute to service improvements as part of the wider rehabilitation team.
Dundee H&SCP offers excellent supervision, supports individual development through performance reviews and learning plans, encourages CPD, and promotes innovative practices.
