Responsibilities
- Manages and leads design and engineering teams across multiple disciplines, including:
- Temporary Works Team
- Digital Engineering Team
- Concrete and Materials Management Teams
- Survey and Monitoring Team
- Develops and oversees Temporary Works and CDP design strategies, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinates required timescales / delivery dates for design activities with KBJV project management and operational delivery teams.
- Ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality requirements.
- Reviews and approves design outputs, reports and technical documentation.
- Ensures design and engineering team meetings and client focussed presentations are led effectively.
- Coordinates design delivery / design outputs internally to ensure effective client.
- Manages resources, budgets, and risk related to KBJV’s engineering team activities.
- Manages and coordinates inter-related engineering team activities.
- Mentors and develops design engineering team staff, fostering continuous improvement.
- Monitors design and engineering team resourcing against programme and workload, working with KBJV onboarding team to recruit additional SQEP personnel to ensure delivery against project requirements.
- Reports to project senior leadership team and key stakeholders on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Resolves complex technical and managerial challenges.

Eligibility and Security
Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.
Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
Qualifications (Required)
- Professionally qualified Senior Manager with at least 10 years post profession qualification or 15 years’ experience.
- Academic qualifications: (HNC, HND, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng)
- Experience of similar role.
- CSCS - White PQP/AQP.
- Significant experience in design and engineering leadership roles.
- Strong project management and team leadership abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A thorough understanding of design processes, procedures and standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience in the Nuclear environment would be considered beneficial.
- Proficiency in relevant design and project management software.
