Social Worker – Front Door Team – Children’s Services in South Gloucestershire earning £41 Hourly for a 3-month locum contract. We are currently in search of a skilled Social Worker to be part of the Front Door team within South Gloucestershire Council’s Children’s Social Care and Preventative Services. This full-time, hybrid role provides a unique mix of office-based and home-working opportunities, requiring occasional visits within the local authority. What you will do:
* Assess and manage risks where there is potential or actual significant harm to children, ensuring their safety and protection from abuse.
* Conduct statutory assessments of cases meeting the threshold for social care intervention, including child protection investigations.
* Use asset and strengths-based approaches to social work, drawing on your qualifications and sector registration.
* Apply your completed ASYE to provide knowledgeable, experienced support in assessing and managing risks for vulnerable children.
* Implement successful strategies to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families, using your problem-solving skills and decision-making confidence.
