We have transformed our clinical pharmacy service across NHS Fife through an ambitious project to operate as an integrated pharmacy service across hospital, primary care, and specialist teams. This approach ensures care services are joined up across transitions and delivers the best possible outcomes for patients and their medicines.
About the role
* An exciting opportunity for experienced pharmacy technicians registered with the GPhC with proven post qualification experience to join our integrated pharmacy team, working across Fife as part of the Acute Services clinical pharmacy team.
* Two posts advertised: one based within the surgical clinical pharmacy team, the other within the medical clinical pharmacy team.
Responsibilities
* Deliver safe and effective pharmacy service across acute hospital settings.
* Take comprehensive medication histories upon admission, manage medicines throughout inpatient stay, and support discharge prescriptions.
* Provide counselling to patients to promote understanding and adherence.
* Work independently or as part of pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams, building good relationships.
* Manage staff as part of the team (if required).
Requirements / Qualifications
* Registered pharmacy technician with GPhC and proven post qualification experience.
* Experience working in a clinical environment.
* Excellent communicator with ability to build relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
* Ability to travel across Fife and base primarily at Victoria Hospital.
* Commitment to maintaining checking qualification through sessions.
* Will be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme before appointment.
Candidate Development

Working Hours
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata.
