Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Duties
* Operate various types of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and flatbeds for the transportation of goods.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
* Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as necessary.
* Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
* Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal driving regulations.
* Assist in the movement of heavy equipment or materials as required.
Qualifications
* Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
* Experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, or route driving preferred.
* Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with heavy haul operations and equipment such as dump trucks or tankers is a plus.
* Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
* Ability to operate heavy equipment safely including tow trucks or paratransit vehicles when necessary.
* Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding loading/unloading processes.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
