About Us
Gigawatt Industries Ltd is a fast-growing Independent Connections Provider delivering EV charging infrastructure and wider ICP works across the UK. We support charge point operators, developers, retail landlords, main contractors, and energy partners with full turnkey delivery that includes offsite and onsite works, grid connections, civils, cabling, substations, and commissioning.
We operate our own in-house civil and electrical delivery teams, allowing us to manage projects end-to-end with full control over quality and programme.We are strengthening our commercial team and are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who has existing connections in the EV charging or ICP sectors and the ability to build strong new relationships as part of our continued growth.
The Role
This is a senior-level business development position for someone with proven sector experience and the confidence to deliver high-value work. You will use your existing industry knowledge and relationships, while actively expanding your network, to identify opportunities, engage clients, and secure profitable projects. Working closely with our estimating, design, and operations teams, you will help deliver professional proposals, manage the sales process, and ensure a smooth transition from tender to delivery. You will be expected to make a positive impact from the outset and contribute directly to revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and win new business across the EV charging and ICP infrastructure markets
* Use your existing industry network while proactively developing new relationships
* Build and manage a strong pipeline with accurate forecasting
* Engage with charge point operators, developers, landlords, main contractors, consultants, and organisations delivering civil and electrical works
* Manage client engagement, tender responses, and commercial negotiation
* Produce well-structured proposals in collaboration with internal teams
* Maintain long-term relationships to secure repeat business
* Represent the company at meetings, site visits, and industry events
* Support a wider commercial strategy as part of a growing, ambitious team
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within EV charging, ICP, utilities, construction, or infrastructure
* A strong existing network within the sector and the ability to build new relationships quickly
* Track record of securing high-value projects, tenders, or major accounts
* Understanding of EV infrastructure, grid connections, or civil and electrical installation work
* Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
* Self-motivated, commercially focused, and able to operate autonomously
* Full UK driving licence with national travel as required
